Wirl
Wirl is a mobile companion app that lets users watch ads and participate in surveys to collect credits they can then use toward rideshare services like Uber or Lift. Wirl is ready to be your designated driver Friday night, and your personal chauffeur Saturday morning.
Freedom
Our product is entirely free to use, but beyond that, free is the energy we embody. We are free spirits, free to live how we please, and we want you to be free with us. Go Freely.
Brand Values
Connection
We are easy to find and engage with, online and in person. We live to be among the people. We are the life of the party & the designated driver all wrapped in one. We are deeply dedicated to the well-being of our beloved community.
Empathy
Transportation is an essential part of life, and we know what it's like to need a ride. That's why we created Wirl. Now every person, no matter who, or where can catch a ride.
Empowerment
Whether you’re going out dancing or catching a ride to work, our service can help. We’re dedicated to offering a free ride option to get you from point A to point B. Earn points through Wirl and do what you want with them; share, save, or spend.
The Energy
Wirl’s photo style reflects the company’s energetic, caring and colorful nature. Imagery used in marketing materials is vibrant and generally minimal in its content. Subject matter focuses on a mixture of lifestyle and single-subject shots. The intent is to help the brand possess an open, clean and unrestrictive persona.
The Icon
The wirl icon consists of the “w”, depicting the journey a user may take, combined with a location pin, representing the users destination. The gradation of color from a dark to light captures the experience of venturing from the unknown, into a place of comfort and safety.
The Language
The wirl brand lives a fluid and colorful life. The visual language is expressed primarily through yellow to pink gradient solids with overlaying, overlapping macro instances of the icon path shape — designed to represent the many winding roads of life.
“Our goal is to make driving under the influence history. A thing of the past. Literally. No present. No future. A footnote.”
Melinda Lewis, Founder
The Formalities
It was important to the wirl team that even the most formal touchpoints retain the somewhat light, whimsical nature so core to the brand tone of voice.
